What is (Wayback)?

Wayback refers to The Wayback Machine search engine on The Internet Archive at www.archive.org/ This Web site has been archiving Internet Web pages, text documents, photographs, audio and video, lectures, software, etc. since 1996.

The learning component of many online CE Project Agreements have links to other Web pages, documents, audio and other resources on the Web. Many links in time go bad as Web pages, documents, etc. are moved to other locations or removed from the Web altogether. CKLS' Head of Continuing Education is taking two steps to keep these materials available.

  1. When the other Web pages, documents, etc. are archived on The Internet Archive, a (Wayback) link to the archived versions has been added to the online CE Project Agreements. When an original link does not work, click the Wayback link behind the original link. This retrieves a page showing all the versions of the Web page or document archived. Click the most recent version.
  2. CKLS' Head of Continuing Education is also printing out and storing copies of all documents mentioned in the learning components. These will be stored as personal copies and can be borrowed through interlibrary loan.
